CAPSULE FILLING
Encapsulation, Packaging, & Fulfillment allows us to maintain quick turnaround times and competitive pricing. We fill and contract manufacture empty capsules to customer requirements in (double zero) 00 and (zero) 0 size capsules.
Based on client requirements we can source powders through our supplier network for customized formulation according to the client’s need.

BLENDING
We check to see the availability of the product based on the composition required, then source and procure the powders, bottles, and lids, also providing the same service for clients with their own materials who simply require an encapsulation of their product.
A composition sheet is the master manufacturing instruction for us to blend according to client requirements. All powders are weighed and noted. Our current capacity to blend is around 30kgs and where a client’s requirements exceed this the products are carefully weighed for batch production.
The different powders that make up the composition are thoroughly mixed in the blending process.

CONTRACT MANUFACTURING
Once all powders are thoroughly blended the next stage is for the encapsulation process to start. Encapsulation of capsules is processed through semi-automatic encapsulators that can produce up to 3000 capsules per hour.
Once encapsulated the capsules move through to a capsule polisher to remove excess powder dust to ensure all capsules are clean. This provides the capsule with a glossy finish.
Capsules are then counted via our capsule counter and bottled according to our client’s needs with a silica desiccant. Each bottle receives a foam and package insert according to the client’s needs. All lids are tamper-proof and come with expanded polyethylene (EPE) and pressure-sensitive (PS) liners.

PACKAGING & LABELING
Once the lids have been secured the filled bottles move onto the labeling process where each bottle is individually labeled. The supply of labels is a client’s responsibility as we do not source and supply labels and use the labels provided by the client. Our labeling equipment use either a 40mm or 72mm core.
Batch numbers and expiry dates are placed on each of the bottles for tracking of the manufacturing order. The bottles are placed into boxes and where required box inserts are added before shipping to the client.
There are quality control procedures during every step of the blending, encapsulating, and bottling process and we follow the guidelines and requirements as stipulated in the good medical practices and standards defined. Part of these procedures is to ensure that capsules are manufactured in accordance with acceptable variances and standards.
